We are looking for an ambitious Social Media Strategist to join our Creative Team at our headquarters in Stockholm. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing NIP’s global social media presence. You have a knack for content production, day-to-day social media engagement, data analytics, and have a proven ability to drive growth for brands in esports and/or gaming. Working with the Head of Digital Marketing, you will devise social media strategies that elevate our brand, engage our community, and amplify our esports initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional and cross-regional teams to develop compelling content with regional resonance and global reach, initiate grassroots marketing initiatives to grow our community in the region, and contribute to the overall growth of local fandom.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute social media and community strategies for the Ninjas in Pyjamas brand on a global level, based out of our HQ in Stockholm. 

  • Identify the right channels, create and manage profiles with high growth and engagement potential.

  • Craft compelling, on-brand copy that resonates with our target audience and drives engagement.

  • Plan and schedule social media content calendars, ensuring consistent and timely posting of content

  • Identify and develop initiatives to organically grow NIP’s reach among esports fans and gamers, collaborate directly with esports platforms and partners. 

  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to track the effectiveness of our strategies.

  • Collaborate with design and video production teams to create visually appealing and shareable content.

  • Proactively respond to comments, messages, and inquiries from the community in a timely and engaging manner.

Job requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in social media management, preferably within the esports, gaming, or entertainment industry.

  • Strong understanding of the esports and gaming ecosystems, with a keen awareness of players, organizations and competitive performance.

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, algorithms, and best practices.

  • Demonstrated success of managing social media advertising campaigns and budgets.

  • Strong Community Management – Ability to engage and grow a passionate, active community through regular communication and events.

  • Ability to plan and manage online tournaments or competitive events.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and compelling copy.

  • Proficiency in using social media management tools and analytics platforms.

  • Creative thinking and a passion for gaming and esports culture.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Flexibility to adapt to the evolving nature of the esports industry.

  • Optional but desired: Counter-Strike 2 FACEIT level 10.
