We are Ninjas in Pyjamas, probably the world's most legendary esports team.

Born in 2000 with Counter-Strike in our blood, we have pioneered the esports scene since its inception. We earned our stripes by competing at the very top level across almost a dozen game titles and we never lose — we only win or learn.

The role as Head of PR & Communications: 

As the Head of PR & Communications, you will be at the forefront of NIP's global communication efforts, taking ownership of both proactive and reactive communications, from strategic planning to seamless execution. This role is as autonomous as it is collaborative, requiring you to lead independent projects while fostering effective partnerships with various company departments, all with the overarching goal of enforcing NIP's brand on a global scale. As NIP's most senior communications advisor, you will bear the ultimate responsibility for all communication endeavours.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead and oversee both internal and external communications, encompassing all facets of NIP's business operations

  • Spearhead NIP's global communication efforts, ensuring consistency, coherence, and effectiveness in messaging.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to elevate NIP's brand recognition and presence.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key media outlets to drive communication objectives. Ensure the generation of accurate and positive coverage, while also overseeing the overall sentiment in both endemic and non-endemic press, responding both reactively and proactively to enhance NIP's brand image globally.

  • Bring a creative and critical mindset to the table, pushing the boundaries and establishing NIP as the most innovative and groundbreaking organization in the gaming world.

  • Plan and deliver media training for colleagues and players, including interview coaching and press release writing 

  • Assume a broader responsibility for enhancing narrative development across all of NIP's teams, closely working with marketing and creative departments to develop innovative editorial communications and tailored content for a range of different channels. 

  • Create reports capturing press coverage, sentiments, and key data, providing other team members, management, and external partners with insight and data.

Job requirements


Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in leading PR and communication functions, preferably within the esports or gaming industry.

  • Outstanding strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Strong project management and leadership abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creative thinking and the ability to develop engaging content.

  • Crisis management experience and ability to navigate challenging situations.
