Location: Abu Dhabi / Remote-Hybrid

NIPG FZ LLC is looking for a Head of Brand Design to lead the creative direction and visual identity of the brand across all marketing touchpoints. This role sits at the heart of the marketing team and will work closely with the Head of Marketing & Social Media, the Social Content Manager, and the Production Lead to bring our marketing strategy to life through strong, consistent, and inspiring creative output.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who combines strategic thinking, art direction, and excellent design judgment with the ability to lead a small team and deliver exceptional work. You will manage a Graphic Designer and Junior Graphic Designer directly, while setting the creative standard for everything that appears under the NIP brand.

Role Overview

As Head of Brand Design, you will own the visual expression of NIP across campaigns, social, brand materials, events, and other marketing initiatives. You will define and evolve the creative direction of the brand, ensuring that all output feels distinctive, modern, and aligned with NIP’s identity and ambitions.

You will be responsible for leading the design function day to day, while also contributing at a senior level to how marketing ideas are brought to life visually. This role requires someone who can move seamlessly between strategic brand thinking, high-level creative direction, team leadership, and hands-on design execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the visual identity and creative direction of NIP across all marketing and brand touchpoints.

  • Work closely with the Head of Marketing & Social Media, Social Content Manager, and Production Lead to translate marketing strategy into impactful creative output.

  • Own the quality, consistency, and evolution of the NIP brand across campaigns, social media, events, presentations, and other key materials.

  • Direct and manage the work of the Graphic Designer and Junior Graphic Designer, providing clear feedback, support, and development.

  • Set design priorities, assign work, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.

  • Create and oversee creative concepts, visual systems for campaigns and brand initiatives.

  • Ensure all design output is aligned with brand guidelines while also pushing the brand forward in fresh and relevant ways.

  • Work across formats and platforms, adapting creative ideas into assets that perform across digital, social, and event environments.

  • Collaborate closely with the Production Lead to ensure visual concepts are executed effectively across video and motion content.

  • Support the Social Content Manager by shaping the visual tone and design approach for social-first content.

  • Review and refine design work across the team, ensuring strong typography, layout, composition, and attention to detail.

  • Maintain a high standard of creative excellence while balancing speed, practicality, and business priorities.

  • Contribute hands-on design where required, especially on high-priority or high-visibility projects.

  • Stay current with design trends, brand innovations, digital culture, and esports aesthetics to keep the NIP visual identity modern and relevant.

  • Help develop scalable templates, workflows, and systems that improve efficiency across the design function.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure the brand is represented consistently across every touchpoint.

Job requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of combined experience in design and art direction, ideally in entertainment, esports, sports, digital media, agency, or brand environments.

  • Proven experience leading creative direction and managing designers in a fast-paced, high-output environment.

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent visual thinking, brand development, campaign work, and digital design.

  • Deep knowledge of design principles, typography, layout, composition, color, and visual storytelling.

  • Strong understanding of how to build and maintain a brand identity across multiple formats and channels.

  • Experience working closely with marketing, content, and production teams to deliver integrated campaigns.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and feedback skills.

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on creative execution.

  • Highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once.

  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Cloud and other relevant design tools.

  • An understanding of esports, gaming, or youth culture is a strong advantage.

  • Proactive, commercially aware, and able to bring clarity and creative confidence to a small but ambitious team.
